6 Days Trip Marrakech - Desert - Fez - Tangier

Day 1: Airport > Marrakech

Pick up at the airport of Marrakech at the time of arrival of your flight, transfer to riad and start the cultural visit of the city of Marrakech with guide to discover its fascinating history through the famous Koutoubia (XII century), the Bahia Palace, the Tombs Sâadianas (XVI century) and lunch in a typical restaurant in the Medina. Afternoon free to enjoy the souks and the famous Jmaa El Fna square, its outdoor activities: jugglers, musicians, fakirs, snake charmers, minstrels … that will awaken all your senses, with its many sounds, aromas, flavors and colors that characterize it. Accommodation in the Riad with breakfast.

Day 2: Marrakech, City Tour

Breakfast at your riad and cultural visit of the city of Marrakech with guide to discover its fascinating history through the famous Koutoubia (XIIth century), the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs (XVIth century) and lunch in a typical restaurant in the Medina. Afternoon free to enjoy the souks and the famous Jmaa El Fna square, its outdoor activities: jugglers, musicians, fakirs, snake charmers, minstrels … that will awaken all your senses, with its many sounds, aromas, flavors and colors that characterize it. Accommodation at the Riad.

Day 3: Marrakech > Ait ben haddou > Ouarzazate > Dades

Departure in the morning from Marrakech to the Dades Gorges. On our way we will cross the High Atlas Mountains and climb the pass of Tizi n’Tichka (2,260m altitude). We will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1987) where movies as well known as “Gladiator”, “The Mummy”, “Kingdom of Heaven” and the series “Game of Thrones” (converted into Yunkai and Pentos) have been filmed. We will continue the journey through the valley of Roses to the Dades Gorges, where the so-called “Route of the Thousand Kasbahs” begins. Overnight in Dades valley and dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: Dades > Gargantas de Todra > Merzouga

Breakfast at the hotel. We head to the Todra Gorges, where you can take a pleasant walk between its imposing canyon walls of more than 200 meters high, until the exit to the desert through the palm grove of Tafilalet. Upon arrival at the hotel in the desert, our camels will be waiting for us to set off on a route of an hour and a half, making our way through the dunes, until we reach the heart of the desert to contemplate the beautiful sunset. Tucked by the Great Dune, and enjoying the music of the drums, dinner and Moroccan tea, you will be able to contemplate the immense sky of stars and sleep in tents.

Day 5: Merzouga > Valle de Ziz > Midelt > Ifran > Fez

We will wake up early in the morning, » Appointment with the Sunrise » since they are in the desert is advisable to get up early to walk to the highest dune that is around to enjoy the sunrise and this relaxing landscape that nature offers us, we will return on camels to the village of Merzouga for breakfast. Once ready we will head north through the palm grove of Tafilalet where, in 20km, we can see countless palm trees, making it one of the largest palm groves in the world. Crossing it we will arrive at the Ziz Valley, named after the river that flows down from the High Atlas and feeds the palm grove. Here we will make a mandatory stop to observe the valley from above and see the village of Aoufous. Stop in Midelt, right in the heart of the Atlas, to rest for a while and have lunch. In the afternoon we will continue our way through the Cedar Forest where if we are lucky, we can find some monkeys, while passing through Ifrane, located on the northwestern slope of the Middle Atlas, at 1,630 meters above sea level. The width of its avenues, its urban development, its impeccable state of cleanliness, its gardens and green areas and especially its architecture, more typical of an alpine city, makes Ifrane feel out of place in Morocco and has earned the nickname of (the Moroccan Switzerland) where the ski slope Michlifen, one of the most important ski slopes in the world is located. Arrival in Fes around 18h more or less. Accommodation in riad with breakfast.

Day 6: Fez > City Tour

After a delicious breakfast at the Riad, we begin our guided tour of the new part of the city of Fez, where we approach the Royal Palace, Jewish Quarter (Mellah), then go to a viewpoint where we can see the entire medina from the South Tower and a few mosques. Then we will walk through the medina, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will stroll through its winding streets where the only means of transport for cargo are donkeys. You will see up close the work of potters, smiths, tanners, weavers, etc., the bustle of its people will transport us back centuries. You will find what is considered the oldest university in the world where the study of Arabic and religion are its essence, as well as buildings so beautiful that you would never think they were in the middle of that world. We will notice that it is a medieval city and that time has stopped. This experience is truly unique. A marvel! Accommodation in riad with breakfast.

Day 7: Fez > Airport

Breakfast and free morning until the agreed time, transfer to the airport where we will accompany you to check your luggage and show you the boarding gate, remember that it is advisable to be 2 hours in advance, here our services end and end of trip.
